I'm torn by this. Good PR or Controversial PR?

"ken lee" without you?
First off, the woman judge looks so much like Paula Abdul, it's scary.
Secondly, are these people actually cheering and not laughing?

"Once" was not enough, I could've seen it twice.
I must say, if you're in the mood for a little culture, good music, and a really good, yet short plot, definitely ad this to your Netflix list, or however you get movies. I'm intrigued by the whole production of this film. Being a lover of the English/Irish accent assists in my admiration of this movie, but I do recommend at least checking it out for the music. It has a little Cat Stevens, Ben Harper, Coldplay feel.

Judge Skirts Privacy of 16 Year Old Girl?
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,337173,00.html
Apparently I loose all rights to privacy when I wear a skirt, according to a judge in Oklahoma. I can't figure out if this guy was sober or not. Understandable that all persons associated with professions in the law (my fiance included) has different perceptions on how it applies to specific cases, but this is out-right ludicrous. I can't imagine a man coming up to me thinking that he has the right to violate me because I have on a skirt. Didn't this judge take it into any sort of account that this girl was 16 too? Not that age makes a difference, but in this case, come on...this judge is out of line.
I found this blogger who listed the case law, thanks for referencing this:

'Idol' and Fox Have Heart

http://www.reuters.com/article/domesticNews/idUSN0453686720080305
When I read yesterday that David Hernandez was a former stripper, all I could think about was how many past celebrities have made it regardless or because of doing some crazy things before hand. In truth, many hollywood-wanna-bes have to go that route sometimes just to make enough money to survive and make it to the next audition. Plus, we never shunned Prince or David Bowie for their racey pasts, we praised them and continued to be dedicated fans...well most of us anyway....(I know you know the lyrics to Purple Rain...don't hide).
The point is, I'm happy that Fox and 'Idol' didn't choose to dismiss him based on his sexuality or his past work experience. Look where he is now...he was chosen out of millions of people and is now on the most watched TV show of all time....and that's amazing.

The Skinny on Starbucks
http://starbucksgossip.typepad.com/_/2008/01/a-barista-tells.htmlSo what do I say to those who feel offended that Starbucks has named a new drink "skinny"? Why don't you try it yourself...loose a couple of those calories that you shouldn't have, and apparently feel self-conscious about?
I have to admit I was blown away that someone even thought to bring this up. Do labels like, "no fat" offend them too? The point they need to get into their head is that it's not the name that's offensive, it's the fact that they haven't realized how to take control of their own weight, so they get mad at everyone else in the world who works at being healthy. Personally, I'm happy that I continue to have the "low-fat" option...and I'm tired of people blaming everyone else but themselves that they are overweight and eating full fat whole milk, loads of sugar, extra whip cream with chocolate sauce latte's everyday.
I will step down from my soapbox now.

You Got Rhythm?
http://www.songtapper.com/
I heard this on my radio show this morning...and they were awful, which is disappointing considering they pick the music I listen to on my way to work. Giving them credit...apparently you have to only tap the chorus of the song (which they didn't know). Let's see if you have rhythm or not! :)

Will Ferrell where art thou?
http://tinyurl.com/2yjuzy
Has Will Ferrell lost his mojo? I didn't see the movie, but can only suspect that his copy-cat sports movies just aren't making the same impression anymore. I could be wrong, but at one point he was the funniest man alive. What happened to the "Old School" humor? (no pun intended).
